  We provide a wide range of services to ensure that everyone can enjoy their stay at Tateshina Shinyu Onsen to the fullest without worry and in a truly relaxing atmosphere, including elderly guests, guests with disabilities, and families with babies, etc.

• Elderly guests and guests with disabilities

  • Wheelchairs are available to borrow at the hotel. The two rooms that were renovated in April 2018 are now wheelchair accessible from the hotel entrance, and within the rooms to the toilets and bathing rooms. Handrails have been installed in the bathing rooms and toilets. While the handrails may not be as exactly like those in nursing homes, they are designed so that you can hold on to them to aid in standing or sitting down.

    

  • We have installed a large common-use restroom in the Library Lounge on the second floor that is both wheelchair and ostomate accessible.

    

  • For guests who do not use a wheelchair but have difficulty getting up from a futon or bed, we also offer “Tachi Up” bars. Supplies are limited, so please inform us when making your reservation if you wish to use them.

    

  • We also arrange meals upon request for guests with allergies and elderly guests who cannot chew hard foods or have difficulty swallowing. Please feel free to ask.

    Our (indoor) public baths are floored with tatami mats made of a special anti-bacterial and anti-fungal material that matches the hot spring components of Shinyu Onsen. Our baths are safe and secure, and are highly praised by guests who have trouble walking for being non-slip, soft on the feet, and safe even in the event of a fall.

    

  • Although the hotel is a stand-alone building in a valley, it is only 20 min by car to the nearest hospital, and ambulances would arrive in just 15 min. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, so if you have a health concern, please rest assured that, in the event of an emergency, you will be properly taken care of.

• Guests with babies

  • There are three private dining rooms installed with sound isolated system. During the meal, guests can use baby chair or tatami for lying down. it is possible to enjoy by no any hesitation.

    

  • For the kind fathers and family members, if you would like to make a present to the mothers who want to go traveling but always hesitate with small baby and care about babby meal, goods, can visit us without any supplies.
