For those visiting from Tateshina, Matsumoto Castle is an accessible drive of about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Popular destinations such as Karuizawa and the preserved post town of Narai-juku are also conveniently located roughly 1.5 hours away by car. For air travelers, Haneda Airport is approximately a 3-hour drive, while Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) is about a 3.5-hour drive from Tateshina.

Free shuttle bus
Free shuttle bus service is available daily from the East Exit of JR Chino Station. Buses run twice a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please contact us in advance if you wish to use this service. Boarding is at the East Exit of JR Chino Station on the JR Chuo Main Line.
In addition, if you are worried about driving during the winter, you can park at JR Chino Station and use the regular bus service.
